Saint Francis is the Patron Saint of Italy, Patronage of animals and the natural environment. He is the first recorded person in human history to have received the wounds of Christ's Passion called the Sigmata.

not so much seek to be consoled,
as to console;
To be understood, as to understand;
To be loved, as to love;
